One key to longevity that I have learned (through many struggles) is to keep your eyes on Jesus. I know it sounds so cliche but it is really both profound and simple. There are many people (both ministers and lay people) who really get hurt “by the church”…although I think that is sometimes debatable, yet we must ask ourselves; do I love what Jesus loves? Jesus calls Himself the head of the church and refers to the church as His bride, this means that I have to love the church, with all of her flaws and issues because I belong to the one who loves the church! We can only do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus. The church did not die for you and I, the church did not bleed for you and I but the head of the Church, The Lord Jesus did! Now we must keep our eyes on Him and He will help us love what He loves and move through life with a healed heart and a joyful soul. Food for thought—Love & Blessings friends.
