One kind of initial awakening that is really quite simple is when one simply becomes aware that they are aware. But this awakening is not the final frontier as is often supposed. It simply makes it possible for you, for the first time, to really engage in the practice of self-investigation, which is essentially to effortlessly allow your awareness to be aware of itself. In this awakening, you gain conscious access to the awareness of awareness itself. You are simply,silently, aware of the awareness. you watch awareness with awareness. It begins to reveal its true, essential nature, which is essentially, LOVE; pure, unconditional openness! Then you are LOVINGLY aware of the awareness that is LOVE itself, and things really start cooking!
