One last World Cup post :) This year was honestly so amazing. And so it ends ... 2014 World Cup in beautiful Brazil comes to a conclusion. So here is a thank you to 32 teams that have thrilled us - Thank you to Chile for their passion. A special personal thank you from me for Sanchez,he has been amazing..May he thrive for you and with you.- Thank you to Uruguay for being proud in spite of all they had to endure, It must have been brutal but you are stronger.- Thank you to Nigeria for surprising us with such beautiful football! A special thank you to their goalkeeper who proved to have beautiful ethics and beautiful soul.- Thank you to Algeria for fighting on although no one believed in them.- Thank you to Spain..Oh Spain...Gracious in lose and in victory...We will miss your greats! Thank you not just for this World Cup but for a decade of beautiful football- Thank you to France … thank you for a team that is so diverse, that in it’s ranks each one of us can find someone to relate to if we look close enough- Thank you to Croatia … for knowing that anyone could win this.- Thank you to Mexico .. oh Mexico.. what heart you have…you deserved better…- Thank you to Colombia .. thank you for giving us James… thank you for coming back so strong…we have missed you and thank you for the promise you give us for the future..we know we have not seen the last of you- Thank you to the States … thank you for keeping up with being the new kid on the block…and thank you oh thank you for Mr. Howard - Thank you to Cameron what respect I have for you.. you prove that football is in the blood - Thank you to Australia … I know it hasn’t been easy for you but you carry yourself so well…- Thank you to Greece … regardless of the past you come back every year with a full heart ready to fight .. thank you- Thank you to England…Thank you for being a European home for football. You have been going through a rough patch for a long time but we owe you and thus we thank you- Thank you to Costa Rica! How you fought. Oh much you tried! Very proud of you.- Thank you to Japan. Thank you for breaking the stereotypes and thank you for the graceful play :)- Thank you to Cote D’ivoire. You are one more nation that never tires.The tide is against but you are always stronger.- Thank you to Bosnia… A personal thank you to the team that I connected with on such a personal level. You were wronged but you won our hearts.- Thank you to Portugal .. Thank you for CR7…Thank you for this gem of player! Thank you for the pride of your people.- Thank you to Ghana and Iran. So many things went against you but you played every game like it was a final- Thank you to Ecuador, Honduras and Switzerland. Your passion didn’t go unnoticed.- Thank you to Belgium…what a pleasant surprise you guys were.- Thank you to Korea and Russia. Thank you for standing tall in spite of it all. And the final four thank yous: - To the Netherlands. Thank you for the thrill, year after year. Thank you for playing such a beautiful game! Thank you for Van Persie .. thank you for Dirk Kyte - To Argentina.. Thank you,Thank you. Thank you for Messi…thank you for Mascherano and thank you for your passion! I cheered for you like you were my own country and cried for you the same uwu But really I am nothing but proud of you .. and come 2018 I will still be cheering “Vamos Argentina and thank you Leo” - To Germany...Oh..Champions..Thank you for the thrill..Thank you for the strength…What a team! And oh so young!…They say the era of spain has ended..BUT they also know that the era of Germany has just begu..Many many many Congrates and may you reign for many years to come… Last but not least…to our hosts. The Beautiful Brazil and Its people. Thank you for much more than words can express…Thank you for Pele, thank you for Neymar, thank you for Cesar, thank you for Ronaldo,thank you for a long long list of names that my brain is too fatigued to recall but my heart will never forget…Thank you for having us this World Cup...You have been a gracious host and I hope Canada were light polite visitors and if some of us were not, then please excuse us for passion and pride for country and colors might have distracted us .. but at the end of it all we thank you..We thank you for FOOTBALL/SOCCER And to everyone reading this I hope you have loved this as much as I did and hope to see you on the other side with club football.
