One legal gun owner in Texas was confronted by police officers responding to claims that he was carrying a loaded rifle on a walk near his home on Monday. While it’s legal to openly carry a rifle, a local ordinance reportedly prohibits people from carrying a loaded rifle or shotgun in city limits. What happened just minutes after officers released the man has more than Texans outraged. 19-year-old Henry Vichique appears in a video posted to YouTube Monday as he is approached by officers and commanded to place his rifle on the ground, according to TheBlaze. The officers alleged that they received complaints that Vichique was pointing the rifle at people, which he denied, revealing that his firearm was loaded. Finally, the cop says, “You are not under arrest. You are free to go. You’re just going to happen to walk home, and I’m just going to happen to make sure you get home safely — and as soon as you get home safely, you will never see us again.” That’s when another officer inserted himself into the situation. “We are going to take that gun off your shoulder, do you understand that?” the officer says.. “Do you understand that?” “I have not been arrested and the law says unless I’ve been arrested, you can’t take it from me,” Vichique responds. Suddenly, the situation takes an ugly turn when an officer uses his Taser on Vichique. Open Carry Texas said it plans to hold a rally in support of Vichique on April 6 at 1 p.m. outside of the San Antonio Police Department, TheBlaze reported. https://youtube/watch?v=7hCONc6Va8I
