One message we no longer hear is that talking about DISTRACTION. We hear and read messages on ‘blessings, ‘being born again, ‘the narrow way, ‘conquering, ‘reaching greatness, ‘shining your light, ‘arising, ‘walk upon your enemies and so on. But the LORD says to me, without dealing with distraction in your life and around you, you can never get better, and you can not have all those- success, conquer, shine your light, arise, be born again and you can not walk on the narrow way. Talking about distraction, it destroys ones purpose, hinders one from being fruitful and from doing that which one ought to do. Just like the servant who got distracted and didnt do his work. The Bible says 48 But what if the servant is evil and thinks, My master wont be back for a while, 49 and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk? Matthew 24:48-49. Here we see how distraction works. It may come in form of thoughts- the Bible says what if the servant is evil and thinks. Beloved, allowing and harboring an evil thought in your heart is one of ways the devil- the enemy of all that is good operates. And this leads to such person tempted to doing things that are otherwise and not expected of him. The Bible says and he begins beating the other servants, partying, and getting drunk. For this reason the Word of God warns against our own desires and thoughts. The Bible says 14 Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. 15 These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. 16 So dont be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. James 1:14-16 Havent you been misled- distracted? Not too late to get back to the LORD and your purpose on earth and back to the kind of lifestyle expected of you.
