One more, and this is personal to me. Were fostering an overweight, heavy heartworm positive dog named Shorty for AAWC. His heartworms are so advanced, he coughs a lot, really bad. Its so hard to listen to. He is on some heavy duty meds, and is better, but hes going to have to be heartworm treated (and I HATE THAT). Im not a supporter of fast-kill treatment, but in this case, we have to do something pretty quickly. AAWC works their butts off for any animal who needs help, but their funds are way limited, and they depend on donations. Here is Shortys YC for his meds, x-rays, and heartworm treatment.
