One more night test with the Kinect. I placed the unit outside on top of our hot tub lid (40 inches off patio) and turned on our back lights. I placed a tripod with a broom handle (representing arms) ten to fifteen feet away from the sensor and discovered I disappear as a skeleton around fourteen feet. At one minute and 42 seconds the Kinect mapped the tripod as a possible person. Has anyone else tested the Kinect for distance?
