One more round of showers and storms will roll through the area today ahead of a weak cold front. Once again heavy rain, frequent lightning and gusty wind may accompany the strongest storms. The chance for rain today is 50%. Temperatures will top out in the mid 80s this afternoon. We’ll begin to dry out overnight. Patchy fog is possible by daybreak. Lows tonight will be in the low 70s. Drier air will filter into the area Thursday and Friday. Temperatures will actually be hotter with sunnier skies expected. Highs climb back to around 90 both days. We’ll stay in the low 90s over the weekend, but we won’t stay dry. At least isolated showers and storms return to the forecast as higher humidity moves back in again. We’ll maintain the status quo next week with hot and humid conditions and a daily chance for showers and storms.
