One of My favorite characters in Babylon 5 was always GKar. (Kinda loved the scene where he and Londo are trapped together in an elevator.) In the first season he was seen as a bad guy and Londo as a good guy. its amazing how dramatically the change came to be. Even more amazing is how believable it came to be. I believe that change occurred because of these 3 things. the first time was when he arrange to rescue Katherine Sakai from being killed on Sigma 9-5-7. That really changed him all that much, but it changed the way we saw him. It showed us the wisdom he hid in himself. the second time was when the Centaury Emperor came to the station, though GKar first intended to kill him, we saw the first change when The Doctor delivered the message that the dying Emperor risked his health and his life so that he could come in neutral territory and tell the Narn that he was Sorry.Seeing GKars face in that scene is one of my favorite things in Babylon 5. we could see how, for the first time. GKar changed his mind about the Centaury. For the first time, he was ready to forgive. its a shame that Lord Rifa, Mollari and Morden messed it up. Then Finally there was when He was touched by Kosh while he was attacking Mollaris mind. that was when he truly Changed. He changed from a war mongering angry individual to a wise, compassionate and forgiving individual. I think thats something we could all learn from.
