One of my New Year Resolutions is to kick my massive sugar addiction. Its easy to read that statement and think it means I have a huge sweet tooth. And while I do enjoy sweets, it goes way beyond that. Sugar is in EVERYTHING, practically. Naturally occurring sugar (like sugar in fruit) is not what I am referring to. I am referring to added refined sugars (ie. cane sugar, palm sugar, high fructose corn syrup, etc). If you are eating or drinking mostly anything that is pre-made, it will likely have added sugar, especially foods marketed as Low-Fat, 100 Calorie, Diet, these are some of the worst offenders. Some sugar is necessary in your diet, but not all sugar is created equal. And what I know is, kicking the sugar is the only way to have total control of my health.
