One of my all time favorite opening movie sequences ever made. For two men, one man that was first and foremost a great Playwright and Pulitzer prize winning author, Sam Shepard, and another man who was first and foremost a great musician and singer (rated 91st of the 100 greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone magazine), Levon Helm...they made such a great acting team...I wish they would have made more movies together. One of the best movies ever made, IMO, and even better with the elder, real life Chuck Yeager in the barfly/hermit bit parts later on in the movie :-) Twenty three and a half minutes worth watching by people of all ages.
