One of my bucket list goals of photography is marked off. And what a crazy adventure. I used two cameras. Filled two 32 gig cards and one 8 gig card. I did a time lapse from just after sunset. And now my camera is drumming as the sky lightens. Hope I have enough card and battery to actually catch the sun rise. Not saying where right now but, I shot the sunset, I caught a pretty amazing pano. I got the Milky Way going across the night sky. I captured the rising quarter moon rising. I hope I have a good run on the polar axis and all 4 cardinal directions. Should be the best time lapse ever. AND some incredible stills. I saw a bunch of meteors I think I might have caught a few small ones, not sure as often they dont show if they are not bright. BUTTTTTT.... The adventure part was stepping on a spike that went clean through my foot! (Big and next toe). Drove to the hospital an hour away, thankfully it wasnt busy they have me two shots that hurt way worse than the spike. Doc said I was incredibly lucky. Nothing serious. On the way back I realized while I got my camera and tripod my camera bag was on my trunk! Got back. There is was on the ground. Everything dumped out. Nothing broken, nothing lost. So here I sit 15 minutes of the earth rolling till I see the sun. Funny last night I was feeling sorry for myself for some tough breaks. Got reminded things can always be worse. I am most richly blessed. I am soulfully alive. Finally doing exactly what I want in life. I have wonderful friends, getting a kicking edumacation. My son has become a man among men. And I am walking and still have a foot! Life is good!
