One of my colleagues has married recently and started living at her in-laws house. Her mother-in-law has volunteered to stay away in her sisters house in this month of Ashadh. Here, I am not talking about the system or the beliefs. But, I am all praise for that mother-in-law who didnt want to separate the newly wed couple. ನನ್ನ ಸಹೋದ್ಯೋಗಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಇತ್ತೀಚೆಗೆ ಮದುವೆಯಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಗಂಡನೊಂದಿಗೆ (ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ) ವಾಸಿಸಲು ತೊಡಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಆಷಾಢಮಾಸ ಆರಂಭವಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆ, ಅವರ ಅತ್ತೆ, ಸ್ವಯಿಚ್ಛೆಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಸಹೋದರಿಯ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಲು ಹೋಗಿದ್ದಾರಂತೆ. ನಾನು ಈ ಪದ್ಧತಿಯ ಅಥವಾ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೆ, ನವ ವಧೂವರರನ್ನು ಒಟ್ಟಿಗೇ ಇರಲು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಾನು ದೂರವಿರಲು ಬಯಸಿದ, ಆ ಅತ್ತೆಯ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮೆಚ್ಚುಗೆ ಇದೆ ನನಗೆ.
