One of my earliest memories from when my family first moved to NYC - TopicsExpress

One of my earliest memories from when my family first moved to NYC was in the summer of 1970 my father took me around with him to record stores all over midtown. He had heard a song on the radio that he just HAD to have. Trouble was he didnt know the title. Eventually, we found out that it was a live version of a song called Space Captain. The artist was Joe Cocker and it came from one of the best live albums ever recorded, Mad Dogs & Englishmen. My father and I both fell in love with that album and we love it still. Happy to add that I got to see Joe Cocker live, twice. He was the real deal. One of the greatest, must soulful and unique voices the world has ever heard. Thank you for all those wonderful years, Joe. https://youtube/watch?v=-407iUd_pFY
