One of my favorite Broadway musicals is MAME! When I was a sophomore at Williamsville South High School MAME was our annual musical presentation. It is a musical that teaches us to be accepting of all people no matter how different they might be from ourselves. It is also a musical about the struggles in life. The musicals Christmas song, We Need a Little Christmas, touches at how even in our hardest moments we can find some light of possibility together. As we sit here one week from CHRISTMAS DAY 2014, I think we could sing this song every day as our world continues to rip at its seams. So, enjoy this song and I am choosing the New Christy Minstrels version that was released the same year as the musical hit the Broadway stage. There are several photos of the group and if you look carefully youll see a young Kenny Rogers and Kim Carnes amidst the ensemble.
