One of my favorite Torah insights that I have heard, deals with the theme of the many unanswered, ultimate questions that we have about our lives. Why do good people suffer and bad people prosper? Why is there death at all? And so on. I am not enough of a Torah scholar to have the entire story of Joseph and His Brothers at my fingertips, but when Joseph was making all those seemingly outlandish comments and demands to his brothers, his brothers, not yet knowing it was him, were totally perplexed, horrified, terrified, and so on. Everything seemed to make no sense. It was as if the entire world had gone completely mad. And then, when Joseph could no longer take all the heartache and melodrama going on, he revealed himself by simply stating, I am Joseph! Is my father still alive? Once he revealed who he was, all of their seemingly unrelated and unanswerable questions, became crystal clear. The truth was known. Same thing goes for our world in general. We ask endlessly how could G-d allow the Holocaust to happen, how could G-d allow his Chosen Nation to be perpetually hated and abused, how could G-d allow an islamoMarxist loser like Obama to assume a dictatorship over this formerly free land, and so on and so on, and yet according to Jewish tradition, the Messiah will one day reveal his identity, and then all at once, everything will become crystal clear.
