One of my favorite metaphors for non self-evident deep knowledge: 6+3=9, yet 6+3=11. 6+3=9 is common knowledge. From the same perspective of common knowledge, 6+3=11 is illogical. The dynamics of different number systems is non self evident, meaning if you havent been taught the rudiments of number systems, you would yell illogical at 6+3=11, unaware that its from the premise of a base 8 number system, rather than our standard base 10 number system. Weve essentially been indoctrinated into a base 10 number system. Point being that unless youre willing to climb a learning curve beyond your current understanding, the idea you see will be presented as illogical at your current level of understanding. Understanding the premise of multiple number systems is on a deeper level and can easily masquerade as illogical from the perspective of base 10. Now apply that concept to logic and reality and see what happens.
