One of my favorite moments during my race yesteray... as I was nearing the finish line, less than a mile left and nearing the final aid station where my family was hanging out, I hear my 10 year old Dane say Why is mom running so slow?. Then they all wanted to run with me. NONE of my kids kept up with this slow poke for the final 1/2 mile. I had done 6+ mles at a snails pace and was being made fun of by my kids, who then could not keep my pace. My son Ferrell (age 7) grabbed my hand and wanted to run with me. but I had to let go because he wanted to walk. Mom, can we walk? You can but I cant Why cant you walk mom? Because that girl behind me is NOT allowed to pass me! If I walk she will win! LOL! as if I was winning or something. 3rd place in my age group at least. Only because it was a small race.
