One of my favorite subjects and courses in undergrad was Interpersonal Relationships, a field of communication, or in a sense, psychology. One of the things I learned about was speech, verbal as well as written. They thing about written speech is will your context or message be conveyed through words? We cannot see tone within a text, email, or in social media. All caps or exclamation points can say anger, when they really mean excitement... And you cant read sarcasm. It really sucks when someone doesnt know you enough to be able to hear your voice when they read a message, or know how your speech is enough to know what you may mean. That is why the interpersonal relationship matters, it helps communication. For example, when Kcin Trebor and I lived together.... He might text me and say, F you, you b!t(h ash ninja! While I could be offended, our relationship would tell me I pranked him, said a joke at his expense that he just found out about, or ate his swiss roll.... Point is lighten up, dig deeper before you get upset, or at least ask what someone means before you get defensive
