One of my favorite times with the 31 members of Ad Deum Dance - TopicsExpress

One of my favorite times with the 31 members of Ad Deum Dance Company is our daily devotional times in the morning before technique classes/rehearsals. Its a time to prepare our hearts for engaging our day, one another and our world. I know its a little unusual for a professional dance company to begin their day together like that...but we are a bit unusual anyway :) (strange Director fellow) So today we talked about being given SEEDS each new day to sow into the soil of the lives around us. We have choices in what type of seeds we plant. We can sow seeds of love or seeds of hate. Seeds of peace or seeds of strife. Seeds of forgiveness or seeds of revenge. Seeds of grace or seeds of judgment. What opened our eyes the most was when we realized that we truly do reap what we sow. That was a sobering thought(A big ouch!!!). We realized the great freedom and fruitfulness of sowing good seed, BUT we also realized the bondage and sorrow of sowing bad seed. (Bad seeds sown = adverse consequences on more than we can imagine - YUCK :( We also recognized that there are generational corrupt seeds that can run in the line of a family. This seeds can adversely effect a family from generation to generation. When corrupt and negative seeds are sown into our lives through family history, we can also become bearers of those seeds through what we have imbibed. We prayed for those seeds to be removed from our hearts, that the generational cursed seeds can be uprooted and we can be free. I know my heart was awakened. By the grace of God, may my life bear good seeds. May these seeds produce a great harvest in the lives of those that Ive sown into. Yep, we all fail at this good seed bearing thing at certain times and with certain people...but change begins with revelation and resolve.
