Elvis...like so many others including Th Beatles and Rolling Stones would steal songs from those original singers and song stutters only to never pay a cent of royalty to many. Big Mama never did see a cent for her song he stole. She was a tough gal who worked for peanuts in her youth on a cotton farm. Just sharing a small piece of history. Blues...the root of rock and roll. I did a paper on Black Slavery and Blues music once...it was one of the most amazing pieces of history I could ask for. It touched my heart and I was hooked.
