One of my friends asked me yesterday what my thought was on taking a hiatus from producing, creating, and writing. Hes stepping away for a bit, and worried about the break. I told him that was perfect. Hes simply in his winter, gathering energy, storing up thoughts, noticing the world, himself, and himself in the world before he breaks loose out of the ground to take flight with more power and creative drive than before. Dreaming happens before doing. Winter arrives before spring. Think in terms of cycles, or rubber bands. We need to step away for a bit to gather energy before the flight. In some cases, a complete shattering is necessary before building a steadier, more careful foundation. Dont worry if you have off days or non-superhuman weeks, or even months. Youll spring back stronger than before
