One of my friends here on Facebook is a woman named Geri Reischl. Old codgers like me may remember a short - lived TV variety show by Sid and Marty Kroft ( of H.R. Pufnstuf, Lidsville, and Land of the Lost fame ) called the Brady Bunch Hour. It featured the Brady Bunch - the characters from the original half-hour sitcom - transplanted to California and starring in their own musical/comedy show. The original cast returned to reprise their roles, all except for Eve Plumb, who originally played the part of middle daughter Jan Brady. The part was recast, and my friend Geri stepped in to take on the role. It was as the Fake Jan Brady - as Geri is now called ( and calls herself ) - that Geri got to know the late, great Ann B. Davis, whoALSO reprised her role of Alice the maid in the variety hour. Ann passed away relatively recently. And like so MANY shows from the era of the Brady Bunch, this show ALSO has an annual gathering of fans. The following song was a number performed by Geri at this years gathering, in honor of the late Ann B. Davis.
