One of my friends (not on FB) recently dealt with some issues, and felt that God had abandoned them. I believe God lets us walk unaided at times to learn for ourselves. But like a good parent, He never abandons us as we walk in dark paths, he just steps back and lets us learn. And bump our shins, so to speak. We try to live good lives, follow the doctrines of our faith (whatever it is) but there are times in some peoples lives where no matter how well we are trying to live in the light they do not *feel* it for a season. That truly is a test. Even Mother Theresa felt a great void in her connection with God for many, many years but continued to remain devoted to Him. I think our trials are customized for each of us, for our personal growth by a loving Heavenly Father. This life truly does require faith. And the blessings of exercising that faith - in any circumstance - DO come. In time.
