One of my mayoral opponents received a gift from a local lobby group: a free trip to Israel. Like Ferguson is a testing ground for the rest of America, Palestinians are being used as human guinea pigs for a global system of oppression and genocide. I assume he went there to get a policy training of how good Israel is on democracy and human rights. Maybe he got a glimpse of Gaza bombings or the rallies that white jews held against all the black-jewish Ethiopian immigrants. I am proud to say that I am not supported by AIPAC and support a #FreePalestine! I wore a Palestinian flag lapel button at every mayoral candidate forum. I support uniting the human family as one to live in peace, justice, and harmony, with reconciliation and reparations for those who were massacred, displaced, and oppressed by occupation, whether in Palestine, Armenia, Japanese internment camp survivors, survivors of Nazi Germany, and Canadas First Nations who are being colonized further to this day for the tar sands.
