One of my mentors. This is the man I was fortunate to know closely, work beside for about 6 1/2 years during the early 70s, and learn so much from. In a manner of speaking, I consider him to be my adoptive father, for I met him soon after my true father was killed. After I met him on a trail near the Hollywood sign on January 3, 1973, at around 6:00 A.M. (I believe we were the only two joggers there at the time), he hired me on the spot to be a consultant and fitness trainer for his health spa in Los Angeles. Ever since then, Jack La Lanne has been one of my personal heroes.
