One of my most memorable flights had been HK to BKK back in 1997. Most of the passengers on that cheap flight were mainland Chinese, obviously bringing with them the maximum allowance in electronics and other goods. They were not used to air travel. There was spitting on the floor, lighting cigarettes and a general mood like on an overcrowded local bus. But the best part came when the plane landed. The rear wheels had just touched down, front wheel still in the air, and everyone got up, grabbed their luggage out of the overhead compartment and made for the closed - and successfully defended by the flight attendants - doors while taxiing to the terminal. Once the doors opened, everyone ran towards the baggage claim where I met my fellow passengers again. Once they had their trolley loaded they started running again like a stampeding herd of cows. This time to immigration and customs. One would have thought that they had learned how to behave by now. Not so, it appears: shanghaiist/2014/12/17/passenger-deploys-planes-emergency-slide.php
