One of my new favorite snacks is Baked Kale Chips. I rip large kale leaves up and coat them well with olive oil. Then season to taste. Usually just salt and pepper but also turmeric and cayenne. I bake the leaves in a single layer for about 10 minutes in a 350F oven. Im addicted to them! I was at Whole Foods getting Organic kale and ran into my friend Sheryl, and she asked if I put Nutritional Yeast on them. Ive heard of Nutritional Yeast, but never read about it or used it, so I picked some up while I was out then read about it when I got home. Here is a nice article about it: Nutritional yeast has several benefits. One big benefit of nutritional yeast is that it is often high in B12, an important vitamin that much of the population is deficient in ... Aside from B12, nutritional yeast is also a complete protein, contains other B vitamins, is low in fat and sodium, is free of sugar and gluten, and contains iron. treehugger/green-food/11-ways-use-nutritional-yeast-and-why-you-should.html
