One of my personal favorite directors: Stanley Kubrick This man was one of the best film makers ever to live on this earth. He has made some of the most thought provoking and deep films in cinema history. His films are deep, and rich with symbolism, and hidden meanings. Which is part of the reason I love his films. They are something to be studied, and are much more than what they appear to be on the surface. They are films that have kept me coming back for more, and noticing things that I havent seen before. Its a new experience every time I watch his films. My personal favorites being The shining, 2001: A space Odyssey, and Full metal Jacket. Though even his lesser works are something to behold and are still great films. Films like Eyes wide Shut and even A clockwork Orange. They are films for people who want to think, and take away something from the film. I havent seen a Kubrick film that hasnt had an impact on me, weather it be from the end of the film, or scenes in the film that leave an everlasting impression. Not only the storyline, but the cinematography and acting. Everyone of his films are shot masterfully and are always interesting to watch. What I admire about Kubrick is the way that he can pull an amazing performance out of any actor, good or bad. He can craft amazing dialogue that is chucked full of importance, and truth. I love Kubrick films and I suggest you check them out.
