One of my recurring charities is meeting this Fridayat 6:30 in Lee. Dining For Women is a National charity with numerous local chapters. It combines giving with education and socializing. We will have a special DFW potluck for December that will not only benefit worthwhile organizations supporting women living in poverty, but will also give you the opportunity to check people off your holiday list. A number of local non-profits will be selling items that support amazing international programs. This months featured program from Uganda, Womens Microfinance Initiatives mission is to establish village-level loan hubs administered by local women, to provide capital, training and support to rural women in the lowest income brackets in East Africa so that they can engage in income producing activities. Bring a dish, dessert or drink to share! And please bring friends who like to shop, and who may like to learn more about DFW.
