One of my top-ten favorite albums of all time. Donald Fagans The Nightfly, his first solo effort after the phenomenal success of Steely Dan. One of the first ever completely digitally recorded albums, this 1982 mostly autobiographical album actually paints visual pictures in the listeners mind unlike no other of its time; all backed up by pristine beats, unimpeachable harmony and minimalistic instrumentation. One of the two albums I brought to England back in 1982. The other being the soundtrack to Francis Ford Coppolas incredibly under-rated masterpiece One From the Heart. Enjoy The Nightfly, especially my favorites: Green Flower Street, The Goodbye Look and Walk Between the Raindrops. The Nightfly. It will truly transform you. Take you outta your doldrums.
