One of my wing sisters received this note from her donation of a cup of joe for a joe Please people read this and make a small donation to this... your donation can be as little as $2.00.... Come on you see this soldier would lay down his life for us... Thank you. I dont feel that these two words adequately express my gratitude for you generous donation. I have served for 12 years, 5 of which have been spent deployed. I started my career in the infantry, but for the past few years have been flying the OH58D-R “Kiowa Warrior” helicopter. Although some of you may view a cup of coffee as a minor gift, in our eyes it means the world. When deployed to an outlying COP (company out post) we are afforded few opportunities to visit the larger bases that provide amenities such as running water, hot food, phones, internet, and just sometimes the mythical Green Bean Coffee Oasis. It is an honor to know that there are those of you out there whom selflessly offer us a simple cup of coffee during our times of hardship. It isnt the nutrients from the drink or the flavor of the brew that raises our moral, its knowing that you provided us with that tasty beverage with no expectation attaining anything in return. You are the reason I will fight for this country and if need be lay down my life for it. Thanks you again,
