One of my work babies kept asking me why I was sad yesterday. When I said the I wasnt, he proceeded to tell me all the signs of sadness that I was exhibiting. We have been working so hard on his social scripts. You see, he has Aspergers. I told him the truth. I am just really tired and worried about my sun. He just said OK, and walked away. Typical for him. On my way out, he ran up to me with papers. He wrote down herbal teas that help you sleep. He went online. The tears that are always so close these days started to fill my eyes. He began apologizing. I told him to stop, that they were happy tears, and that I am so proud of him. What does he do? Pat me on the back and said the same to me. Lol. Im just now seeing the awesomeness of this...I keep herbal tea on hand in my room. He noticed. He then tried to comfort me with that information. He did that. Progress. He even made a joke a couple weeks ago. Sorry for the length. Today is the first day in a while that I have felt anything besides exhausted. Allah is kind.
