One of our egg customers reminded me of the saying cooler heads prevail after I told him about the cows getting loose the other night. I had a short temper that evening which led me to think it was a good idea to scramble around the pasture chasing them with no real plan while expressing my opinion of bovine mental capacity at the top of my lungs and more or less accomplishing nothing but assuring that my singing voice for Sunday worship would be considerably rougher than normal. I remembered that lesson and the saying this evening when the weather stirred up our herd and they got loose again. This time, with much less scrambling and no yelling (except once at the dog), we were able to get the cows back without ruining the familys evening with grouchy attitudes. Im convinced that after I showed marked improvement from how I handled the other evening that God extended some grace in my direction. Almost assuredly, divine providence is all that kept the cows from heading for Crenshaw County, considering the velocity and determination that they started out with. Cooler heads prevail. Gods encouragement and earthly blessings. Whether you believe like I do or not, it happens. Remember that if your feathers get ruffled this week. Happy Monday.
