One of our favorite cultural institutions, the Signature Theatre Company, is currently running a powerful new play by Katori Hall. Our Lady of Kibeho takes place in Rwanda and foreshadows the tragic genocide that devastated the country in 1994. You can read a review here: bloombg.org/1F5DwPW Kibeho is a place where very few foundations are active - but were proud, through our partnership with Sustainable Harvest Coffee Importers and Women for Women International, to be working there to increase economic opportunity for a community that was devastated by the conflicts Our Lady of Kibeho depicts so movingly. Our programs are helping the women of Kibeho acquire marketable skills, like coffee growing, so themselves and their families can transform their communities.
