One of our receptionists at the Park Pet Hospital, Sandy, adopted - TopicsExpress

One of our receptionists at the Park Pet Hospital, Sandy, adopted a young rescue dog named Archer from Mississippi earlier this year. Archer was sluggish and did not want to run with her other dog. Archer had pre-adoption testing which was normal. However, further testing at the Park Pet Hospital including a heartworm test revealed that he did indeed have the mosquito-transmitted disease. Archer underwent a complete evaluation and has since been treated and cleared of this potentially deadly parasite. Now Archer is a active healthy dog that is able to run, play ball and swim. Don’t risk your dog’s health! Yearly blood testing and once a month heartworm preventive medication is truly necessary.
