One of our vets, William Bevin had a serious accident yesterday whilst performing a TT test on some cattle near Empingham. William was transported by ambulance to Peterborough Hospital where he is still undergoing treatment for injuries to his back and head. Thankfully, it appears the damage is not too serious and with some rest he should be back to work sometime in the next few weeks. On behalf of the team here at Oakham Veterinary Hospital Equine we would like to say a huge thank you to the staff of the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance and the team of paramedics and doctors who have cared for William over the last 24 hours. We look forward to welcoming him back to work once he is fully recovered.
