One of the best SPROUTS days ever. We dug up beds in the childrens garden , harvested garlic, then planted red okra, Dragons tongue beans, Bush cucumbers, red mustard and more. Then the kids took turns pushing the small wheelbarrow over to the raspberries where they began some serious grazing. After we wiped out the berries we moved on over to the carrot bed where we found out what was buried under those frilly leaves. After scrubbing them in a tub of water the kids could be seen munching down their vitamin A for the day. We also sent home some oregano to go with the garlic, some carrots, and a some Chioggia beets. Chioggia beets look like bulls eyes or peppermint candy when you cut them in half. All in all, an amazingly fulfilling day , even if we did start at 6:30 a.m. Be sure to check out ALL 20 photos
