FIVE are found in the Philippines, THREE in La Union and ONE of them are discovered nesting in San Juan, La Union. Did you know? - Marine Turtles are international travelers, but when its time for them to lay their own eggs, they go back to the same beach where they hatched. - Olive Ridley Turtles are the smallest of the five species found in the Philippines and they nest in the beach of San Juan, La Union - Marine Turtles can hold their breath for an average of 45 minutes to 5 hours! :o CAN YOU DO THAT? - 20 out of 1000 survive to breeding age WITHOUT human interference, TWO out of 1000 survive to breeding age WITH human interference.
