One of the best movies of the year may be playing near you, a stunning one-character story (not GODZILLA) set almost exclusively in a car driving through a night where most of us have travelled (though I hope to a lesser degree of necessity and crisis). LOCKE is the story of good man, a husband/father/best construction foreman ever confronting the consequences of the one big mistake he made in his life and doing so with honor, integrity, pure honesty and more guts than most movie heroes need to portray. This is a suspense movie, high drama, yet no one gets shot, hit, kissed or +, or chased by anything other than choosing to find and do `the right thing. This is an Academy Award nomination for Tom Hardy, a movie that will touch your life and that you wont forget as soon as the popcorn is gone.
