One of the best ways we can teach our children about making right choices is to allow them to face the consequences when they make bad ones. If we fly in and rescue them every time they mess up, they will never learn the value of having a good, strong character. God is the same way with us. BECAUSE HE LOVES US, He will allow us to face the consequences when we choose to live however we want. Yes, there is grace, and yes, there is complete forgiveness, but just because He has forgiven you, it doesnt mean life is gonna be a bed of roses. Embrace the road He gives you to walk down - even if it is a painful one for a time. He has a plan for your life, and it is a GOOD plan. Walk in it, and be faithful to Him, as He is faithful to you. The Lord replied, I have forgiven them, as you asked. Nevertheless, as surely as I live and as surely as the glory of the Lord fills the whole earth, not one of those who saw my glory and the signs I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness but who disobeyed me and tested me ten times— not one of them will ever see the land I promised on oath to their ancestors. No one who has treated me with contempt will ever see it. Numbers 14:20-23
