One of the biggest lies that I contend with on a daily basis is: this life is about me. Society screams at me to gain all that I can, make myself happy no matter the costs, make sure my life is comfortable, and instant gratification. The fact of the matter is, my time in the limelight is so fleeting and the story of me is so little but I can trade that little time of starring moments and the little story of me for a supporting role in a much bigger story: Gods story. I can leave the all about me attitude and the instant gratification and join God in His work where He has prepared a job specifically molded for my strengths and weaknesses. I can leave the moments of success and limelight for witnessing the power of the ever present and moving Holy Spirit in peoples lives and in my own. And the beauty of all this is: God DOESNT need me to be present with Him in His work for that work to be accomplished, He is the all powerful God-His plan is not hinged on a failing sinner, BUT He desperately WANTS me to be present with Him in His work.
