One of the challenging aspects of P.E.T. is to let children own their own problems. As parents or carers, we can walk beside them - we can help them help themselves. This is how our children develop resilience - by having to deal with lifes disappointments, from an early age. If we take over, and try to ensure they are happy all the time, then our children will never discover their own inner resources.
