One of the common tactics people use is to make unsubstantiated claims and specially on the numbers. It gives you an immediate psychological advantage and the other problem is that nobody can actually verify / prove your claims right or wrong. This post suggests that 300 Aussies are converting to Islam everyday. Logic doesnt work because it makes 108,000 people every year which is a huge number for a low populated country like Australia. I watched the whole clip, spent hours on internet trying to verify the number and ended up calling Channel 9 to check whether they made such claims or if they had any knowledge about this but nothing of this sort came up as real. Some of the Muslim apologist web site made similar claims but nothing that can be classified as a reliable source. Its true that a handful of westerners do convert to Islam same as a handful of westerners also get inspired by Hinduism and Buddhism but nowhere it suggests that we are witnessing 300 people converting to Islam everyday. Its a shame that intellectual honesty is heavily compromised when we need to satisfy our ego ...
