One of the countrys social commentators, Chris Chisoni, says the upward adjustment of some budgetary allocations to government ministries and departments, is an indication that the lawmakers are committed to addressing the suffering of people in the country. Chisonis comments come as government through ministry of Finance has added 7.4 billion kwacha and K500 million to Ministry of Health and the Malawi Police Service(MPS) respectively in the 2014/15 national budget. This years national budget is pegged at about 743 billion Kwacha.
