One of the differences Ive noticed between Canadians and Americans is when they put up their Christmas decorations. In the US, most people wait until after Thanksgiving (last Thursday of November) before decking the halls. Because Thanksgiving in Canada is in October, there is no tradition of waiting. So decorations are busting out all over the city! And in some ways, its makes sense -- after all, Christmas is only a month away (give or take). I quite like seeing Christmas lights already, even though I feel a little guilty enjoying them since its before American Thanksgiving. BTW, this is not the case for retails stores in the US or Canada. They had stuff up before summer was even over...
