One of the downsides of being a judge in Ohio is that I am prohibited from endorsing or publicly expressing support for candidates. As someone who has run in City, County and State elections, I have personal relationships with, and great confidence in, many who are running for Mayor, City/Village Councils and School Boards and wish that I could talk about why I do. But, since I cant, I would just like to say to each candidate...Thank you for having the Courage to put your name on the ballot, the Courage to expose your personal life to the public scrutiny that comes with this, the Courage to stand before sometimes unfriendly crowds and argue why they should show you love on E-day, the Courage to recruit friends and family to put on your tshirts and change their facebook profile pics....bottom line, Thank you for your service, and no matter the outcome, whether youre successful or not, keep your promises and stay involved! Dont let folks see you in church and in the neighborhood only when youre asking for support,the Community would appreciate seeing you..Title or No Title!
