One of the figures that truly excite me is the first member of UT Ordin /abominus combiner.... troll a.k.a. blot. Much hype was built around the figure and from pictures he does look quite impressive. Now holding the prototype in my hands I can reassure the fandom that it is a good figure...leaps and bounds better than TFC, on par with warbotron but not yet reaching MMC level...pretty close though. Holding troll in my hand immediatelly let me think that it feels like, look like and pretty much cost like a warbotron figure although it is from Unique Toy. UT have certainly lost confidence from the less than stellar warlord project but have regain their credibility with first maniaking and now the Ordin project. Troll robot mode is very clean, very compact, fairly detailed and quite articulated at the arms and legs, only issue I havr with him here is his lack of waist swivel. What impressess me very very much is the very fine and intricate transformation scheme that is much more complicated than MMC or Warbotron yet still able to retain the fun factor. The monster mode is pretty compact but short yet had good arm movement...however it does have two minor nitpicks...firstly the combiner port is to be visible at the top of the monster and secondly the monster mouth does not open limiting his expressions. Still both modes are very faithful to the g1 terrocon. All in all he scale perfectly with MMC and warbotron fellow combiner colleagues. With a fun trnadformation, good proportion and beautiful aesthetics this is one figure you should not misss especially if you are a combiner fan since till now only UT is daring enough to give us a modern take on abominus.
