One of the first traps of Enlightenment is the compulsion to rush - TopicsExpress

One of the first traps of Enlightenment is the compulsion to rush out and awaken others. Many fall blindly into it, well-meaning of course, but utterly naive. Its like a newborn chick pecking open the other eggs, foolishly presuming that they are ready to hatch. The wise man knows that each egg will open naturally in its own time. To avoid this trap, simply focus on your own journey. Be the very best you can be. Live up to your own highest ideals. Allow everyone the right to their own experience, even if that experience seems like ignorance to you. Do not presume to know what anyone elses journey is. The practice of Enlightenment is not judging anothers journey but in honoring it. It is loving, accepting and forgiving without conditions. It is being the peace that you wish to see in the world. - JSB
