One of the fun things about writing this book has been exploring how crazy college kids ended up involved in restoring a locomotive. This add appeared early on, probably in the MSU newspaper, to get fellow Spartans into exploring the idea of restoring that hunk of metal by the Football stadium into a living breathing beast again. Little did Steve Reeves, Aarne Frobom, Kevin Keefe and host of others know that a.) that thing would actually run and b.) the cast of characters that would bring her back to life three times over the next 45 years....
